Samuel J Weir, b. 27 Dec 1830, Cooper Co. Mo, sp Polly Bowman Stevens of Kentucky lived in cooper county until spring 1840 when they moved to Dade Co, Mo. 10 children were born to them: Mary Ann b 9 20 1819,Margaret Serena, , Johnathan Waren, James Newton, Letitia Jane, Lovinia Harriet, Samuel Jackson, Jacob Stevens, George White, Elizabeth Ellen. Rev. Samuel Weir 's father was Hugh Weir and mother Margaret, Hugh Weir b. 1725, d 1779. Rev. Samuel Weir had siblings: Johnathan b 1750, sp Mary Polly b 1758, Abraham, Capt. Samuel B 9 April 1791 Bount Co. Tn.sp, Mary Analiza Bowman Stevens, Capt John, James, William Rankin, sp Cynthin Mamie McReynold, Saphronia Tennessee,Sp, Ellis Tom Cure, Richard, and 5 other brothers and sisters but I do not know their names. John Moore Rankin Sp Polly Analiza Weir,b 26 Oct is my GGGGGrandfather and mother. Their Daughter Rachel Ann Rankin married Jacob archibald Montgomery, whose daughter Jane Rankin Montgomery married William Washington Holland. Their daughter Harriet Safronia Holland was my great Grandmother My g. grandfather was Robert Franklin Vaughn,most of these born in Dade Co. Mo.There is a Vaughn Cemetery in Dade Co. In Greenfield, I think.
