The book you describe on the Welters could be an excellent resource for my Welter search. Does the book include anything about
Jozef Welter, b.circa 1840 who would have
entered the U.S. late 1873, early 1874 via New York. He first worked in Detroit, Wayne Co., MI in the salt mines before moving to Bay City. What brought the Welters to the midwest? You can e-mail me if you like. I'd love to know more about your book.
