My mother's family is Welter from Tiffin, Ohio. Her grandparents were John the Baptist and Bertha Warnement Welter. John/Bertha had 10 children. John and Bertha's first child was my grandfather, Pius Joseph Welter, born 1900. Maybe John and Bernard were brothers or cousins.
