Carol,
I have no knowledge of the site for which you are looking, but I do have info on a Thomas Wharton who is speculated to have been born abt. 1630 in England and emigrated to the colonies at an early age, but there is no proof of this. This Thomas is first found in Charles Co., MD in 1657. He could, of course, have been in Accomack Co., VA, before that time.
This Thomas married 3 times, 1st to Margaret Gilpin by whom he had: John, Elizabeth the elder, and Thomas, 2nd to Elizabeth Beck by whom he had Elizabeth the younger, and Mary MNU by whom he had William. Thomas wrote his will 7/27/1702 and it was probated 2/27/1708.
Sons John, Thomas and William died without issue So Thomas’ Wharton’s surname died with his sons. Both daughters had issue.
Regards, Dave
