George and Margaret Whitt... Brick Wall despite DNA
Posted by: Melissa Ballard (ID *****2067) Date: February 23, 2006 at 18:08:36

I have came to a dead end. George Whitt, born around 1815 in KY or Va, is my earliest ancestor. I have looked up land grants, his will and there are no birth or death records- no clues in these. We don't know where he is buried. We do know he lived and died in McDowell County, WV but had lived in Va and perhaps Ky in his early life. I have even had my Whitt male family member participate in the Family Tree DNA, only to find we don't have any matches. Joined the Whitt's End club, but no new leads, so I let the membership go. Can anyone help?
