My father Randall Lane Piland's biological father was Melvin Whitten and his biologigal mother is Billie Wright. Melvin and Billie dated around the early 1950s in the towns of Nixon and Smiley in Gonzales County, Texas. I am trying to find out more information on Melvin Whitten. I would like to know our heritage. I have heard we could be a mixture of German, Irish, possibly Italian, Mediterranean or Syrian. I have been told Melvin Whitten and his family or extended family live in the Crosby Texas area or around Houston. If you have any information I would appreciate it.
