Trying to find info on a WILEY WHARTON later changed to WHORTON. Would have been born in the late 1700's to very early 1800's. Don't know who his wife was. His two sons: WILEY N. WHORTON b. in Pamlico County, NC, married MARY AUGUSTEEN "TINE" BROADWATERS. She was b. 1873 in Florence, Pamlico County, North Carolina. They both died there. His other son, GEORGE A. WHORTON b. 1857 in Pamlico County, NC.
Found some info saying that Wiley's ancestors originally came out of England. Also he served and died in the Civil War. Thank you in advance.
