John Wesley Whorton, minister in Iowa 1884

I am looking for my great-great-grandfather Rev John Wesley Whorton. He was a methodist minister in Cantril Iowa in 1884, he had 2 daughters I know of, Sarah Elizabeth, my great-grand mother and Lucille. Sarah E.
was born in Ohio in 1850, and married William J.Channel
in Iowa. I have found John W. mentioned in William's obituary in 1921, but not anywhere ealse. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
