Seeking info on John Whorton (Jr.?) who married Martha Patsy Ann McWhirt on 12 Feb 1801 in Spotsylvania Co, VA. Listed there on 1810 census and then moved to Garrard Co, KY. Cannot find census record after 1840 in Garrard Co, KY. One known daughter of John/Martha Patsy was Mary Ann who married John Kirby on 28 Jan 1826 in Garrard Co, KY.

Also seeking info on Leonard Whorton who married Elizabeth Betsy Ross on 24 Dec 1803 in Spotsylvania Co, VA. Listed there on 1810 census and then, like the John Whorton above, moved to Garrard Co, KY. Listed in Garrard Co, KY, for 1820 and 1830. By 1840, Leonard Whorton is in Howard Co, MO. and is in Chariton Co, MO, in 1850. Known children of Leonard are Mary Polly who married James Coy on 24 Feb 1826 in Garrard Co, KY. Possible son is Henry (Thomas?) who married Lucinda Coy about 1834 in possibly Madison Co or Garrard Co, KY, or in Howard Co or Chariton Co, MO. Possible daughter is Minerva who married Nicholas Hedrick 13 Apr 1843 in Howard Co, MO.

Any help with the above two Whorton families greatly appreciated. Cheryl
