NATHANIEL ALLEN, 71 OF MARTINTOWN DIES

"Martintown -- (Special) -- Nathaniel Allen, aged 71, died unexpectedly from a heart attack about 5:45 yesterday afternoon while he and Mrs. Allen were gathering honey from the bee hives in their yard. He had suffered from heart trouble six weeks.
Mr. Allen was born in Cadiz township April 23, 1867 the son of Aaron and Melisa Binger Allen. He attended school in Cadiz township. He and Elsie B Cline were married in September 1904 in Monroe. They always lived in Martintown, with the exception of 10 years, two years farming in Cadiz township, and eight years farming in Stephenson County, Ill. He was a member of the Winslow Masonic lodge. Surviving are Mrs. Allen, a nephew and niece, Frank Kelly, Santa Barbara and Mrs. Hazel Rakowska, Orangeville raised by the Allens and children of his sister Mrs. Mordicai Kelly, who passed away about 35 years ago, and three brothers, William, Stevens Point, Arthur, Omaha, and Charles, Forreston, Ill.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 Friday afternoon in the Winslow Methodist church. Rev. Beck, Pearl City, Ill., former pastor of the Winslow Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Cadiz Cemetery."

*Cadiz Cemetery is also known as Saucerman Cemetery
