Mayerhoff, 1108 W. Prospect-ave, after an Illness of six months. In July Mrs. "Wachlin underwent an operation from which she never recovered. Mrs. Wachlin came to the United States with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Neumann, from Marienherg, West Preusen, Germany, at the age of 12, and settled In Chicago. She married Henry Wachlin, and in 1877 they moved to Appleton. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Henry Harp, Milwaukee; Mrs. B. E. Mayerhoff, Mrs. Benjamin J. Pekarske, and Mrs. Andrew Smith, all of Appleton; two sons, Emil Wachlin, Appleton, and Arthur Wachlin of Black Creek; fourteen, grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Schultz,, Chicago; Mrs. George Wolff and Mrs. Henry Bush, Appleton; three brothers, Fred Neumann, Chicago; August of Appleton, and Emil of Milwaukee. ' Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Mayerhoff, and at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. F. M. Brandt In charge. Appleton Post-crescent | 1928-11-02 Pg 15 Mrs. Ben Mayerhoff (Anna Wachlin) 720 W. Fifth St. Age 94, died Monday morning after a short illness. She was born April 7,1881 in the Town of Grand Chute to Henry and Laura Wachlin. She had been an Ap~- pleton resident since 1923. Mrs. Mayerhoff was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, a 50 year member of the Ladies Aid, a member of the Valpariso University Guild, and the Appleton Memorial Hospital Auxilary. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Leona) Rogers of Appleton; 1 grandson, James Rogers of Appleton; 4 great grandchildren, Susan, Michael, Lori, Bruce all of Appleton; a sister, Mrs. Andrew (Rose) Smith of Black Creek; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben in 1966, and a grandson, Wayne Rogers in 1943. Complete funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard K. Pankow officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 3 until 9 Tuesday and from 8 until 9:30 Wednesday, and after 10 at the church until the time of the service.
