I'm looking for any information on the murder of Walter L. Kent by his father, Edward L. Kent, in Belmont, Portage Co., WI, in August, 1904. I have an article from the Stevens Point Weekly Journal dated 13 Aug 1904, headlined "Sad Tragedy in Belmont," talking about the murder. What I'd like to know is what happened next? It doesn't seem that Edward went to jail for this and I'd like to know the results of the investigation.
Edward was my gggrandfather and Walter was my ggrandfather's younger brother. No one in my family had ever heard about this and we are all anxious to know the results.
