Leisl -- I took a look in the 1860 and 1870 census. In 1860, town of Hermapn, page 123, there is Simon, age 41 Charlotte, age 39 Simon, age 8 Mena, age 7 Henry, age 4 Mary, age 2 then in 1870, town of Herman Simon, age 51 Charlotte, age 48 Simon, age 18 (born in Germany) Mina, age 16 Henry, age 14 Maria, age 12 Frederick, age 10 Carl, age 10 Anna, age 5 All the children, except Simon, are accounted for in the marriage records. I wasn't able to find any Stuckmanns in my LDS 1880 census index, although they should have been there. I've heard that index can be kind of quirky. In 1900, there are three Stuckmann families, all in the town of Herman. Carl Stuckmann, Aug 1860 Anna, his wife, Oct 1875 Elna, daughter, Apr 1896 Hilda, daughter, Apr 1896 Laura, daughter, Aug 1899 Simon C, father, Dec 1818 Fred Stuckmann, Aug 1860 (unreadable, should be Sophie), wife, Jan 1871 Herman A., son, Jan 1897 Henry Stuckmann, Dec 1859 Louisa, wife, Feb 1856 Arthur W., son, Feb 1889 Otto C., son, Oct 1891 Annie L., daughter, Feb 1894 Christoph Klocke, father-in-law, Feb 1827 I did find a Simon Stuckman listed in the 1900 census of Adams Cty, IL, listed as a patient in St. Mary's Hospital, born March 1853 in Germany. But his immigration year is listed as 1868, which we know isn't true. His occupation is laborer in a brickyard and he is single. As for the daughters, Anna is with her husband, Henry Fasse, living with his father in Sheboygan Falls Henry Fasse, head, March 1841 Henry, son, Oct 1866 Anna, daughter-in-law, Nov 1867 Arthur, grandson, Jan 1898 Gustav, Aug 1899 Maria is with her husband, Carl Weber, living in the town of Herman in 1900. Carl Weber, head, June 1859 Mary, wife, Apr 1858 Otto F., son, Nov 1886 I wasn't able to find Wilhelmina or Mina or Mena with her husband, Henry Becker, in Sheboygan County in 1900. Maybe they moved. This should give you the family relationships. It looks like these families stayed in the Sheboygan area for the most part. Fasse is a big name here, the Fasses own several paint stores and have a commercial paint factory, I believe. Good luck, Peggy Hoffmann Notify Administrator about this message?
