Glad to hear that there is a WIERTZ genealogy forum. Trough genealogy research that was performed by my father's aunt I posess much information regarding a belgian branch of the Wiertz family in the region of Malmedy and Ličge between 1820 and present. This region is very close from the German boarder and the towns of Aachen and Köln. The farthest ancestor I know was born in Hellenthal around 1820. For the moment, we miss to find other ancestors though we know that Wiertz people have lived in this place for a long time. Has anyone information to help me?
