My maternal granduncle was killed in the battle of Verdun, France, WW I in 1916. He was in the German army. I know he was buried there because I remember my mother showing me a picture of her with her family with his tombstone. I have been unable to find any reference to a Wilkens buried at Verdun. Any info or tips on how to locate info would be appreciated. I don't know his first name.
