Hello. I am seeking information regarding a branch of Wilkins that live -- and lived -- in the Essex / Suffolk area. My great grandfather, Sydney Wilkin, was a master mariner, born in Walton Suffolk. Effie, Tudor, Wentworth, and Alfred, are my grandfather's siblings. My grandfather was Charles Lestock Wilkin; born in Brighton. He had two other siblings that I didn't mention in my post because I am not positive of their names: one might be Louisa Kathleen; the other, Mary. A cousin(s) has kindly shared our tree with me. This tree traces back to John Wilkin and Mary Goodman (1729 and 1734 respectively). Apparently, John and Mary were cousins. John Wilkin's son, John Wilkin II, had two wives. My lineage traces back to the second wife, Elizabeth Woodward. Here are some names of Wilkins from this family living after 1875 -- some of the names may be inaccurate meaning they may be the names these ancestors and relatives were known by rather than their given names: Charles John, Catherine, Arthur Charles, Thomas Emily Harriet, Arthur, Alfred Harold, Albert Henry, Philip Nathaniel, James, Eliza, Henry, Henry John, Charles, Claude, and Frederick. There are other names, too, but they are offspring of the maiden-line. What names are you looking at? Notify Administrator about this message?
