I am currently looking at a HALL/ WILKIN connection. I believe both families link via Monkwearmouth, now part of Sunderland in NE England.
There, on 20 Sept 1806, James HALL married Dorothy WILKIN. James died in about 1834 and had an address at North Bridge Street, Monkwearmouth. Dorothy's father was probably George WILKIN, born around 1750 perhaps.
George Wilkin HALL was a son of this marriage, who in turn married Elizabeth MOORE on 24 Nov 1829, in Monkwearmouth. Two of their daughters (Jane Smith HALL and Mary Ann(e) HALL) married two ALLISON brothers living in or near Sunderland.
William Joseph HALL was another son of this marriage, born 22 Sep 1811 in Monkwearmouth. There are likely to be other children I have yet to trace. The Monkwearmouth HALLs were shipbuilders/owners.
