George Wilkin brother of Godfrey

I'm looking for information on George Wilkin (Wilkey) of Frederick Co VA. He obtained a deed there in 1757 with brother Godfrey. He was probably born around 1710-20, probably in Germany or Switzerland (based on Wilkin postings I've seen).

An Alexander Wilkey and James Wilkey received militia pay in 1775 in Romney, Frederick Co VA. Alexander is possibly my ancestor, and I speculate that Alexander and James may be sons of George (using the Wilkey spelling)

Our family spelled the surname Wilkey/Wilkie (though it was spelled Wilkins in some censuses). Some in our family said they were told the Wilkey line came from Germany.

Does anybody have any information on George and his descendants and where he ended up?

Thanks,
Gary
