I'm in the process of tracking down my ancestors from San Antonio and New Braunfels, Texas.
My paternal grandfather was Henry Jacob Winckler (d. 1954)married to Emma Elizabeth Schmid (D. 1945). His father was Jacob Winckler (1845-1888) married to Wilhelmina Schutte Winckler Luck (1853-1901).
The Wincklers in San Antonio lived in Precint 6 and retained the old German spelling of their name. They were also related to the Burkes, Jonas, Remlings and the Franks. They all attended St. Ann's Catholic Church.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
