Hi Paul,

I'm sorry I am very late in answering your question but I have not checked this board in a long time. Someone may have already assisted you? How old was your grandfather when he died? If you will tell me that then I can quite possibly locate the information for you so you can send away to the Registry Office in England for a birth certificate for your grandfather (fee is about 7 pounds). On the certificate it will have Fredricks mothers and fathers names and where they were born. It would be a very good starting point for you. Then you can begin to trace back from there using the various censuses that are available online. Hope this has been of some help to you.

Regards,

Lynn
