I've just discovered a possible connection between my ROSE family and Woltencroft. On the death certificate I just obtained for my GG Grandmother, Margaret RYDER ROSE, an Elizabeth Woltencroft is the informant. Margaret died a 12 Haworh Street in Little Bolton, and Elizabeth's address is given as 99 Kay Street, Little Bolton. The death was 23 October 1874. Elzabeth could have been a neighbor, but also possible she was related. Margaret had 2 daughters and we know the married name of only one: Elizabeth Rose REDHEAD. Her other daughter, Mary Ellen, was born about 1840, according to the 1851 census.

If anyone can make a connection from all this I'd love to hear from you.
