Your David Woodyard was born 4 August 1827 in Morgan County and married 1) Elizabeth J. Smart in 1853, 2) Ann Davis on 5 March 1875 both in Morgan Co where he died on 14 March 1903. He was the son of James Woodyard born 9 May 1797 in Fauquier County, Va married 1) Elizabeth Cole on 16 Feb. 1817 - annulled, 2) Sallie Hill on 20 March 1825 in Athens County, OH (She was born 7 April 1808 in Spencer, Massachusetts, the daughter of Nathan and Lucy (Bennett) Hill) - James Woodyard was the son of John Covert and Elizabeth (Ford) Woodyard -- for more info on this family, look at the posting I did today on this same site for William and Jesse Woodyard inquiry -- hope this helps --
