The Ann Woodyard who married John Ford on 25 March 1793 in Fauquier County, VA was the daughter of Lewis and Agnes Ann "Nessy" (Mitchell) Woodyard of Charles County, MD. Ann was born in Charles County in 1774 and died in Pendleton County, KY in 1837. John and Ann (Woodyard) Ford had five children: Thomas, Mary "Polly", Nancy P., Elisha and William. Lewis Woodyard (1740-1796) was the son of Henry and Margaret (Martin) Woodyard. Agnes Ann "Nessy" Mitchell (1740-1813) was the only child of Peter and Velinda (Greene) Mitchell. Ann Woodyard Ford was the eldest daughter and the fifth of nine children.
