Hi Ed,
I wanted to follow up about Lewis Woodyard and his marriage to Isabella Smith. I re-read your posts and you said you had yet to find a marriage record for Lewis and Isabella. Hope this will help.
I did copy a document several years ago from the Pendleton Co. Library, Titled Marriages in Pendleton Co.
It lists grooms by surname and says:
Woodyard,:
Lewis M. 34 Pendleton Co (2nd m.)m. Isabella Smith, 23 Pendleton Co. (her 1st m.). License Sept. 7, 1864 by W. Lancaster.
I had a ton of family info on various families in manilla envelopes stuck in a box. It was like Christmas when I opened it up.
