Am interested on any information about a Geo. Washington Wraight married to Mary E. Hedden Wraight probably in 1879 in Rahway. George and Mary were living in Rahway, NJ per the 1880 NJ Census - George was born in New York and his parents in England. He was born around 1858. George and Mary show up in Dunellen, NJ in the 1920 census. His wife, Mary, was the daughter of Jacob Hedden and Jane Drake and was an orphan of the Civil War, spending time in the Soldiers Orphans Home in Trenton, NJ. She had a sister, Caroline, and a brother, Theodore (my husband's g-grandfather). Theodore also spent time in the orphanage but Caroline stayed with her maternal grandmother for a time before going to an Alms House in Rahway where she died in 1912. Mary was in the orphanage for a time but later shows up in the Benjamin W. Barker family in 1870 in Rahway. She is 11 years old. The family is attempting to fill the blanks between the time she was orphaned until she shows up as giving information in 1912 as to her sister's death in the Alms House. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
