Hi Dick!

Thanks for the posting. My main goal is obtaining a birth cert for my grandpa if one does exist because I'm trying to find out all I can about his mother. But I guess not much could be learned anyway. His birth was recorded in the church records there in Texas but I was hoping for something more. :-) He was born December 6, 1885 in Hoersterville, Mason County, Texas. I thought that maybe he would have needed proof of birth to join. My source is his draft card and I have a nice picture of him in uniform :-) His brothers Felix, Walter and Lee Roy also served in WWI and I have copies of their draft cards. You wouldn't happen to have any SCHOLL's in your tree would you? Anyway, thanks for the posting. I'm all the way in Sweden so I appreciate all the help I can get.
