Thank you...
According to his death certificate, Frank Stephens was born Aug. 28, 1896 TX. and died Aug. 28, 1964 in Uvalde, TX.
He is the son of Sam Houston STEPHENS Jr. and Mary Louise HARWELL.
Sam H. JR. STEPHENS is the brother to my G-grandfather Joseph W. STEPHENS.
Frank STEPHENS was born in Ellis Co. TX. he is on the 1900 census for Ellis Co. TX along with his parents and grandparents and brother Carl.
By 1930 Frank is in Uvalde, TX.
Frank Stephens 33
Elsie Stephens 29
Lora J Stephens 4 6/12
Murel L Stephens 9/12
Leona Davis 64

Leona DAVIS is his mother in law.

1910 Frank with parents are still in Ellis Co. TX and 1920 they are in Uvalde, TX.
So I am gathering that Frank enlisted while living in Uvalde, TX.

The name STEPHENS is also spelled STEVENS...on the 1920 census it is spelled STEVENS....

Thank you so much for your help. Nelda
