I must admit the time thing made me wonder where you were.
We are in Derby. Eddies grandfather came to a small village called Shirley in Derbyshire and married and settled down there.
The story you told is very strange but interesting.
Can I ask have you heard any of the rumours that Robert came from Prussia?
I have not been able to find any evidence of this.
I was given a family tree from a relative in New Zealand which I posted this month on the Wymer board on the rootsweb site. It has quite a few names on it.Although you probably know most of them already.
