Seeking the family of Catherine Sanders whose father was Johannes Xander or Zander or sometimes he went by John Sanders. He was Dutch. His daughter Catherine was born in 1783 in Sullivan Co, TN which I believe was originally a part of the older Washington Co, TN (once a part of NC). I have found a brother and sister to Catherine--John, Jr. and Sarah Sanders. I am trying to determine mainly two things. #1 Is this the same Catherine Sanders who married Joseph Robinson in Putnam Co, GA in 1810? If so, she is possibly the mother of my gg-grandfather William Osmus Robinson b. 1825 Ga. Also, was there any connection with this Catherine Sanders' family and the Ausmus family (Germans who married Dutch) that were settled in the same area of eastern Tennessee in the last 1790's. Believe my gg-grandfather was being named for a grandfather or other relative with name of Ausmus/Osmus. Would appreciate any help on Catherine Sanders/ Xander/ Zander. Thank you!
