Searching for information about my paternal grandmother's family. She was Victoria Yahn (Yaun, Yawn, John), born in Waynesboro, Wayne County, Mississippi in 1867. In the 1880 census for Erata, Jones County, Mississippi, she was listed as 13 years old and living in the home of her uncle, J.W. Breland. There is information that purposes her to have been a daughter of John (Jack) and Rhoda Stafford who moved to Mississippi from Beaufort District, South Carolina. A daughter of theirs married John (Jack) Yahn or John,...and she died shortly after the Civil War...about 1867...leaving small children.
