Yancy in Uvalde, TX

I am trying to discover the answer to a cryptic line in a family produced history book about my Bass line. It read:

Charles Freeman Bass (1852 - 1922 buried in Cloudcroft, NM), "He had 2 sisters and 2 half sisters. One of these girls, Mrs. Yancy, Lives(lived) in Uvalde,Texas."

The gentlemen who wrote the book are old and sick now and have no idea what it means or where the info. came from. (perhaps Uncle Pete, but he has passed on...)
I don't know if it is a reference to Charles Freeman Bass's actual sister, or perhaps a child of the sister?
If you think you know, I'd be pleased to hear from you!
