Do you know anything about the Maria/Mary Yordon that married William Snyder on 20 December 1807 in Canajoharie, NY. He was b. ca 1781 and died 14 April 1865 in Freys Bush, NY. and is buried at ME Church Cemetery in Freys Bush. He was the son of Peter Snyder Jr., and Margaret Schmit. William and Maria's children were Peter William, Maria (Polly), Christian, Jacob, Lucy, Kate, Lany and Jonas. At one time a correspondent said that Maria was the daughter of Christian or Nicholas Yordon. She also said their was a story in one of the Montgomery Co., histories of their wild ride through the night when they eloped. I never did find that story either. Would love to have it though.
