My family records list Elizabeth Yowie Short as married to James Shane. They lived in the mid-1700's inWashington County PA, then moved to Jefferson County OH. I have lots of information on them, except that I could never find 'Yowie.' Yesterday I happened upon the Yohe's of Washington County PA, and I think that must be Elizabeth's family. Does anyone else have an Elizabeth who married James Shane? I'd love to know. Janet
