I can't help but throw another Joseph Zacek into the mix here. My grandfather, Joseph Otto Zacek (born 1894 or 1895) came to America from Austria-Hungary in 1905. He came with his family, including his father (named "Jan," b. Nov. 16, 1863, d. Aug. 21, 1959), mother (named "Frantiska" [sp?--I can't read the writing on the naturalization certificate], b. May 20, 1862; married Feb. 3, 1891; d. Aug. 25, 1953)and two sisters. From the port of Baltimore, they went first briefly to Chicago, then settled in Wilber, Nebraska.
Joseph Otto Zacek married Edna Mabel Allard(b. 1895 in Iowa). Their only surviving child was my father, Joseph Cyril Zacek (1922-1998).

I hope this helps anyone working on a Zacek family genealogy.
