I'm looking for information on Pauline Zacharias, born in Bomst Germany 1840. She immigrated to the US when she was 16, married a John Redlich of NY which whom she had two children. John was killed in a mine explosion. Approximately a year later Pauline married Julius Brown of South Carolina and moved there, where she lived out the Civil War on a plantation called Britton's Neck. She had nine more children with Julius. She died in Asheville NC in 1902. Anyone with any more information, please contact me.
