My great-grandmother, Caroline Zacharias was born in 1850 in Elsoff, Westfalen, Prussia,came from Siegen, Westfalen, to Farina, IL.,Fayette County with her new husband, Wilhelm Mueller in 1872. They had three children there and moved to ND about 1886. She had at least one sister and three brothers in Prussia, the names I know are Carl, Fritz, and Luisa. I do not know any other Zacharias who might have come to the USA, but there might be a connection with you as your ancestors were from IL., and perhaps they went to IL to be near Zacharias family??
