My brother-in-law, H. Lewis Faucett of Florence, AL, has information on our Zachary family. My father was Alexander Lee Zachary. His father was Andrew Lee Zachary who was married to Cora Azzie Johnston. My father's oldest brother was William Nolan Zachary, born September 04, 1900 in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX. After Andrew Lee Zachary died in El Paso, TX in 1920, all of the family except William Nolan returned to Buford, GA, the home of the Johnston family. The last correspondence which Cora received from her son, William Nolan, indicated he was living in California and had a wife named Peggy and a son named John. The California death records indicate that a William Nolan Zachary (b. Sept. 04, 1890) died in San Fransico, CA on August 11, 1963 and that his mother's surname was Johnston. We suspect that this may be our William Nolan and that the year of birth, not the month and day, was incorrect. In addition to William Nolan's name, we were drawn to your posting since your given name is Cora. Any reply would be appreciated.
