My French is poor but I understood your message. It looks as though I made a mistake in constructing your branch of the Zerkowitz family. When Adele (Spitzer) Zerkowitz died in 1924, her obituary indicated that she was survived by sons Adolf and Hans, and by a daughter Regina. It also stated that she was survived by a daughter-in-law, Jeanne de Courcy, and by grandsons, Peter and Paul. I THOUGHT that Jeanne was the wife of Adolf, but -- from your message -- I see that she was the wife of Hans. "Hans" must have been "Johann", and he is therefore your grandfather "Jean". Sorry for the error! Are you the son of Pierre or Paul? I would enjoy hearing more about your branch of the family. If you would like, you can e-mail me at "rodihan@juno.com". By the way, I have traced the Zerkowitz family back to about 1715. Thank you for your message... Best regards, Robert Hanscom
