I have recently discovered that Philip Zerkowitz was b. in Trencin, Hungary [now Slovakia], 18 August 1830, the son of Nathan Zerkowitz and Cecilia (Kohn). He was m. 6 May 1856 to Bertha Groag [b. Leipnik, Moravia, 28 June 1833, d. Vienna, 7 May 1907]. Philip d. in Vienna, 7 March 1908 in his 78th yr.
Here is what I know about his 4 children:
1. Alexander Zerkowitz, b. c1857. He may have had a wife Jenny.
2. Armin [or Herman] Zerkowitz, b. Vienna, 5 June 1858; d. Vienna, 10 March 1895. He m. in Vienna, 16 Feb. 1895, Cecilia Romer, b. 20 May 1858. A dau., Hermina Zerkowitz, was b. posthumously late in 1895.
3. Flora Zerkowitz, b. c1861; m. in Vienna, 8 April 1883, Julius Rosenfeld, b. Brno, 25 June 1849.
4. Ida Zerkowitz, b. c1863.
Any additional information on this family/ descendants would be most welcomed.
