I can't find any reference to the name in my family but maybe someone doing research in that era can use this tidbit of information.
In the Most Holy Trinity Church ( Williamsburgh, Brooklyn, NY) "Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Book 1841-1916" there is a notation on page 6 "The first funeral (was) that of Salome Zimmer, two years old, on Nov. 15, 1841".
The commemorative book is in the church archives at Notre Dame University in Indiana.
